Kentucky Weight Distance (KYU)

If you haul across Kentucky highways and have a combined license weight greater than 60,000 pounds or more, you would qualify for KYU. It is a tax license that is issued to carriers, and the rate is $0.0285 per mile. If you do not travel regularly through Kentucky, the option exists for you to purchase a temporary KYU permit.
